The following sets forth our privacy practices and policies.
IT IS OUR POLICY:
- To respect the purpose for which our site visitors and you gave us information. We may use your data to provide you with information about goods, services or events which may be of interest to you and we may contact you about these by email, post or telephone.
- Not to sell or rent our lists to third parties for email marketing. Of course, we may sell advertising in our email publications to other companies.
- To send our periodicals only to those who request them. Sometimes people subscribe for their friends, and while we cannot prevent that, every issue of our free newsletter explains how to unsubscribe.
INFORMATION COLLECTED ABOUT YOU AND OUR USE OF SUCH INFORMATION
The following describes the types of personal and other information we may collect about you, and how we use and maintain that information:
Information We May Collect From You.
In general, you may visit our website without revealing any personal information other than technology-related information described in the section below. However, certain sections and features of our website are only available to registered users of our website, who must enter a unique user ID and password. We collect and store personal information related to each user ID when you register for an account and use our website. We also collect and store any personal information and other data you have provided to us via our website, filling in forms, subscribing to our newsletters, requesting information from us, provided by email, information provided upon request in reporting a problem with the site, correspondence with us, or otherwise. Specifically, we collect and store in a database your name, mailing address, and email address, and may also collect and store your phone number, date of birth and other information you may provide to us. We use Lyris Enterprise Level Software owned and operated by us as our email processor and utilize Google Analytics in analyzing information and use of our website. We use Authorize.net for payment processing so none of the payment information comes through our website.
We use this information to ask you if you want to receive information, participate in exchange of material on ToSaveALife, ask you to complete surveys for research purposes and to otherwise communicate with you about other features of ToSaveALife. We also use this information to respond to any inquiries you may submit to us, to track and monitor usage of our website and to communicate with you about your account and your use of our website. Our website also employs browser cookies to store users’ preferences and record session information. “Cookies” are bits of information that are stored by your browser on your hard drive. This technology allows for the storage of user preferences, user ID and password, if applicable, and remembers you when you take action on our website. You can turn off the “cookie” function through most standard browsers; however, some features on our website may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
In addition, when you visit our website our system automatically collects non-personally identifiable information through the use of tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a transparent graphic image (usually 1 pixel x 1 pixel) that is placed on a web page and, in combination with a cookie, allows for the collection of information regarding the use of the web page that contains the tracking pixel. We use tracking pixels to tell when an advertisement has been clicked on or otherwise interacted with.
Our system automatically collects non-personally identifiable information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser language, domain names, referring and exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of these page views, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser, and information automatically collected by Google for its Google Analytics. Credit Card Information
For users that subscribe to or purchase from the site, we collect credit card information. We use Authorize.net for processing your payments. We reserve the right to disclose information about you, including data on which pages you have visited, to third parties if we feel it is necessary to protect our systems, website, business, users or others.
In addition, information about you in our possession may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, as well as in the unlikely event of insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which your personal information would be transferred as one of the business assets of the company.
