What’s the 2nd Leading Cause of Death between 15 – 24? SUICIDE

Many students have broken the silence about suicide with their stories of struggle and resilience. Here are three incredibly powerful testimonies.

This week I heard YET another heartbreaking story of a friend of a friend, a young man in his 20s, who lost his life to suicide. And YET again, my friends said with words that I DREAD hearing.

“There were no warning signs.”

“We had no idea.”

“I was with him the day before.”

“He seemed fine.”

As is often the horrible truth, there aren’t warning signs and friends and loved ones only recognize warning signs in hind site.  What help is that!?  So, if you are a suicide survivor or have lost someone to suicide, PLEASE share this to draw awareness to the tremendous need of this vulnerable age group of people who are dying! Young people should NOT be dying at all, especially from a preventable cause. #STOPTHESTIGMA

Start talking about this even if you don’t think you see any warning signs.

CAUTION: This video shares three incredibly powerful stories of suicide survivors, so it might be triggering to you if you are struggling. However, they are hopeful STORIES.

Please know that God LOVES you! He  cares deeply about your pain and your heart. He wants to intercede into your difficult situation and bring hope.

She Survived Her Suicide Attempt & Being Run Over by 33 Railroad Cars: Now She Has a Message to Share

In 2 Chronicles 6:1 Jesus says, ” “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

This is not a promise that troubles and difficulty will be eradicated, but Jesus’ presence and his Holy Spirit are REAL–just as real as the darkness. His WORD is powerful. Repeat God’s word to yourself to chase away the lies. Go to the doctor. Take medicine. Get help. Talk to others. You are not alone.
