People of Brussels Have Covered the Streets with These Messages in Response to the Bombings

Even with the terrorist threat level at high people have gathered to make a very important statement.

Jesus said to overcome evil with good which is a lot easier to say when your city hasn’t just been ruthlessly attacked by faceless cowards. If you haven’t heard yet, the people of Brussels were bombed this morning and even though the fatality count isn’t completely in, the locals and victims have already responded. Instead of rioting or turning to violence, they’ve covered the streets with messages of hope. Below are some of the pictures captured around the scene of the bombings:

People have even begun to battle the stereotypes with messages of love for the religion being blamed for the current attacks:

Our prayers go out to the victims. While we feel helpless living far away from the scene of the crime we trust in a God who grieves deeper than we do, who loves the victims more than we can imagine, and who is reaching out to comfort those broken by this act of terrorism.
