Why is our mental health system so broken? And how can we fix it?
Why do we treat psychologists, like they aren't real doctors and mental illness like it isn't real pain? Maybe having better emotional hygiene would lead us to better health in general.
I won't try to hide it-- I'm totally crazy about So You Think You Can Dance. Since this dance with Twitch and Alex was voted America's Favorite Dance for the show's 10th birthday--and since it's sorta about therapy, I thought we should enjoy it in honor of National Dance Day on July 25th. 🙂
Maybe it's the English major in me, but I can't help but feel invigorated by this gorgeous and inspiring poem about carrying on in the face of brokenness, accepting limitations, and growing even in harsh conditions.
